Timberlane Shutters by AWP
Timberlane manufactures the world's finest exterior shutters and hand-forged shutter hardware. Timberlane shutters are available in three materials: Western Red Cedar - for tradition and natural beauty, Honduras Mahogany - a luxurious wood that looks beautiful stained or painted and maintenance-free Endurian - a 21st century approach to the classic exterior wood shutter. Endurian shutters look exactly like their wood counterparts but will not rot and are totally resistant to insects.
Available Shutter Styles:
-
Panels
The most traditional shutter, but also the shutter most open to interpretation - from Raised to Recessed, Shaker to Flat, Ogee to Quarter-Round and Bead Trim. Most styles feature Timberlane's signature "Integrated Picture Frame Trim," using tongue and groove construction to secure the edge of the trim inside the stiles and rails. This ensures our trim can't fall off like applied mouldings and protects the integrity of our designs.
-
Fixed Louvered
Quite frankly, the Timberlane Louver sets the standard by which all other louvers must be measured. Whether fixed or operable, each of our louvers is sanded to a glossy round finish, then hand-fitted into a so it can never flip in the wrong direction or fall out. Set with just enough "float" so they can expand and contract in weather conditions, Timberlane Louvers, will retain their good looks and charm for decades to come.
-
Operable Louvered
Timberlane's Operable Louver Shutters have slats that move up and down, just like they did back in the day. Before the age of electricity, Louver Shutters were traditionally placed on the top level of a home to provide both ventilation and privacy.
-
Board & Batten
Traditionally used on barns, Board & Batten shutters can't be kept down on the farm anymore. Today, Board & Batten shutters are enlivened with beaded detail as seen on historic Northeastern brownstones, or in the 3" or 5" Open style commonly found on historic Tudor homes in rural communities. Substantial and heartfelt, Board & Batten are shutters that deeply satisfy the craving for authenticity.
-
Bermuda
Originally designed for the tropics, the Bermuda shutter is the most romantic of styles. Typically used for sun screening and moderate storm protection, one shutter panel will usually cover the entire window. It is hinged from the top and installed with a custom fit support arm to keep the shutter in an open position - perfect for capturing ocean breezes during long afternoon siestas. Bermuda shutters are available in any louver size, with the option of small or large tilt-rods.
-
Manor
You know what they say about large windows with large casings? Large shutters. Whether new or old, some homes just demand that details like this are executed on the grandest of scales. It's these special projects that inspired our Manor Shutters, our thicker collection of shutters designed to be proportionate to the size of your home and windows.

Fundamentals
Timberlane's newest line of shutters. Made of 100% composite materials, these lower-cost shutters are not quite as high end or thick as our Wood or Endurian Shutters, but are miles ahead of those cheap vinyl shutters you find at the home center. Built to standard sizes in two inch increments in either raised panel or a fixed louver designs. Fundamentals shutters arrive primed, ready for you to apply fresh paint in the field.
